Melissa Lorber

Melissa Lorber’s practice focuses on representing businesses in litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Melissa has represented clients in state and federal trial courts throughout Texas. She regularly represents clients before the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Courts of Appeals. She has also handled appellate matters before the United States Supreme Court and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Melissa previously worked as a newspaper journalist and she now employs her writing, research, and investigation skills in representing her business clients.

  • Represents clients in appellate matters before the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Courts of Appeals
  • Represents clients in appellate matters before the United States Supreme Court and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals
  • Develops legal arguments and drafts appellate briefs on wide-ranging issues involved in regulatory and commercial disputes
  • Represents clients in all aspects of pre-trial preparation and in jury and non-jury trials
  • Assists trial counsel with complex legal briefing, jury charge preparation, and preservation of error during trial
  • Represents clients in responding to inquiries and investigations by state and federal regulatory agencies and the Texas Attorney General
