Heather Jones Holmes

Heather Jones Holmes brings a wealth of legal knowledge and expertise to Enoch Kever. As a staff attorney at the Texas Supreme Court, for Justice Phil Johnson and Justice Brett Busby, she worked on hundreds of appeals gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of the Texas court system while developing strong research and writing skills. Heather previously worked as a law clerk to Justice Charles Seymore at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals and as committee counsel for the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Robert Duncan. In addition to appellate and litigation, her practice includes real estate, commercial lending, estate planning, and probate.

  • Represented banks in commercial loan transactions preparing loan documents and researching title and corporate issues; assisted with research related to land use, regulations, and municipal law; drafted and reviewed various real estate documents, including sales contracts, leases, and title documents; drafted estate planning documents and represented clients in probate court proceedings
  • Served as Staff Attorney for Texas Supreme Court Justice Brett Busby and for Justice Phil Johnson drafting opinions, orders, and memoranda in a wide variety of complex civil law matters; conducting legal research and analysis; reviewing trial court records; supervising law clerks and interns; and collaborating with staff to ensure quality and timely completion of all assignments
