Enoch Kever welcomes Carolyn Shellman

We are delighted to announce that Carolyn E. Shellman has joined ENOCH KEVER PLLC as our newest Member. We welcome her addition to our team of highly skilled and experienced lawyers, many of whom, like Carolyn, have been general counsels for major businesses and organizations.  Carolyn brings a wealth of specialized knowledge and experience in the communication, energy, and electric utility industries.

Carolyn has enjoyed a highly successful career in private practice, government service as a regulator at both the Public Utility Commission of Texas and ERCOT, and most recently as chief legal officer for the nation’s largest municipally owned electric and gas utility.  While there, in addition to the legal team, she was variously responsible for internal audit, compliance and ethics, government relations, regulatory affairs, human resources, and military interface, as well as other functions.

Carolyn is widely regarded as one of the leading legal authorities in the electric industry.  She has a broad history of developing regulatory and legislative policy strategies for innovative technologies in both the energy and communications industries, considerable experience with organizational governance and compliance, and deep subject matter expertise in the regulated and competitive electric utility industry and in navigating energy market issues.  Carolyn is the perfect addition to our team.  The Firm’s clients are the beneficiaries of her extensive and specialized expertise and sound judgment grounded in an exceptional appreciation for the practical business and regulatory challenges faced by technology innovators and established businesses today.
