Shelby O’Brien (TCWLA President-Elect), Martha Smiley (Honoree), and Sarah Glaser (TCWLA President)

On January 21, 2020, Martha Smiley was honored as a recipient of this year’s Pathfinder Award by the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association at its annual Pathfinders’ Luncheon. Pathfinder Awards are given to local women attorneys who are shattering stereotypes and blazing trails for female attorneys. Martha is not only a trailblazer in public law, but also was a founder of the University of Texas Center for Women in Law, a founder of Grande Communications, and an early influential female member of the University of Texas Board of Regents. Martha defines the term “Pathfinder.” Congratulations to Martha for this well-deserved award.
